What is a Vocational Education and Training Scholarship?
An amount of money or a grant to a student to support study and training in a specific industry area throughout years 11 and 12. Scholarships are available to selected students only based on merit or some other rational criteria
- Participating in the training of your industry’s future workforce.
- Planning for the future workforce needs in your industry.
- Providing an opportunity for staff to mentor and supervise.
- Providing a vital contribution to economic, social and corporate needs of the region.
- Demonstrating best practice in training practices in your industry.
- There is no contract or training plan and therefore no contractual obligations to state training authorities.
- The amount of time spent with the employer is significantly shorter (approximately 9 weeks over 2 years).
