ADFA Education Award
Students currently in Year 11 who want to attend the Australian Defence Force Academy may wish to apply now. In addition to the advantage of applying early for our more competitive jobs, students can also compete for the ADFA Education Award. This award is presented annually to students who display leadership potential as well as academic and sporting achievements. The award comprises of a laptop computer and certificate for the student and a plaque for your school. Students receive this award if they are deemed one of the 120 most suitable applicants who have applied for ADFA. Should the student be successful they will receive their award in their second term of year 12.
To be eligible to apply for the award students must be 16 years old and studying Year 11 subjects that meet the educational qualifications required for UNSW as well as single service requirements. Applications must be lodged prior to Thursday 31 December.
It is important to note, the ADFA Education Award is obligation free and runs in conjunction with the students ADFA application. The recipient has no obligation to accept an offer to attend ADFA, nor is there any obligation on the Australian Defence Force to offer appointment to the award winner. However a candidate that is deemed to possess these qualities may present a loss to the future for the ADF should they not proceed.
