Info for Employers 

Career Links Group Training Consultants are constantly networking with local schools to find motivated young people ready to start their careers while they complete their HSC.

A school based trainee will:

  • Complete a Certificate II or III qualification by the end of their HSC year.
  • Complete a minimum of 100 days in the work place. (may vary depending on qualification)
  • Attend training each week with a Registered Training Organisation, such as School or TAFE.
  • Complete their traineeship at the end of Year 12.

A school based apprentice will:

  • Complete Stage 1 of a Certificate III qualification by the end of their HSC year.
  • Complete a minimum of 100 days in the workplace. (may vary depending on qualification)
  • Attend training each week with a Registered Training Organisation, such as School or TAFE.
  • Roll over into full time work after their HSC year. (3-5 year commitment in total)

Providing Support and Mentoring

Our qualified staff also understands that for a lot of our Apprentices and Trainees, this will be their first experience of work. Therefore, Career Links GT provides ongoing mentoring and pastoral care to ensure a successful transition from school to employment.
All our Apprentices and Trainees go through an induction process including Workplace Healthy and Safety. Career Links GT specialist staff can act as a mediator should any problems arise and to help ensure a good employment relationship is maintained at all times.
