Career related learning helps students to make the connection between learning and work. It encourages them to think about their present and future roles in families, as workers and community members. Career related learning makes learning more relevant, especially for those children targeted at risk.
The Lake Macquarie Kids Try A Skill is an expo style event for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from local primary and secondary schools. Students will have the opportunity to speak to a range of exhibitors and experience variety of hands-on career activities.
