Opportunity Day 2011

Career Links in partnership with the NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) and Northern Settlement Services (NSS) determined that there is an overwhelming need for an event in our area in which industries, businesses, schools and communities can network and showcase their services to raise awareness to a community that may not necessarily be aware of the opportunities that exist in this progressive and prosperous city.

In collaboration with many groups from the African and Migrant community, along with all of our supporters from the wider community, Career Links have organised an event that provides an ideal opportunity for all stakeholders and community groups to communicate, network and raise awareness of their services.

Guests will be given the opportunity to explore many different pathways and discover the diverse career opportunities through hands on activities and demonstrations and careers advice. They will have access to free advice about their education, employment and social life and how best to access and utilise the services available to them in the Hunter all in one spot!
