SBAT Information for Schools

A school based trainee will:

• Complete a Certificate II or III qualification by the end of their HSC year.

• Complete a minimum of 100 days in the work place (may vary depending on qualification).

• Attend training each week with a Registered Training Organisation, such as School or TAFE.

• Complete their traineeship at the end of Year 12.

A school based apprentice will:

• Complete Stage 1 of a Certificate III qualification by the end of their HSC year.

• Complete a minimum of 100 days in the workplace (may vary depending on qualification).

• Attend training each week with a Registered Training Organisation, such as School or TAFE.

• Roll over into full time work after their HSC year (3-5 year commitment in total).
