The goal of the Mini EV Challenge is to stimulate careers, innovation, team work, skills and development and entrepreneurialism in Solar Vehicle design and construction. The Event is open to all Hunter Primary and Secondary Schools.
The Yakka Introduction to Work project introduces Indigenous students to potential careers. The program will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Year 7 to 12 and is delivered over six sessions in school.

The Hunter and Central Coast Future Choices Expos are annual events presented by Career Links in conjunction with the National Disability Coordination Officer Program and NSW Department of Education Support Teachers (Transition).
The largest Career Expo for transitioning secondary students in the region welcomes years 10, 11 and 12 students accompanied by their Career Advisers and teachers, parents, guardians and support people.
On December 4 VET teachers are invited to visit hospitality, construction/manufacturing and retail industry venues relevant to their teaching focus. Following the visit there is a networking lunch at Wallsend Diggers with guest speakers.
