Vocational Education & Training (VET) courses combine your Higher School Certificate (HSC) studies with vocational training and experience in the workplace.
VET courses aim to prepare you for further education, training and employment. VET courses provide an additional qualification that can help you get a job or to advance your studies after the HSC.
Industry Curriculum Framework courses can be delivered at school, TAFE or a private training provider. An optional HSC exam in these courses is available to contribute to the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). The following Industry Curriculum Framework courses are available:
Students in Year 10, 11 and 12.
Vocational Education & Training (VET) courses are taught by qualified teachers at school, TAFE or an EVET provider. Not all schools can offer all VET courses which means you may need to travel to another school to complete a course. You will need to check with your school to make sure that your selected VET course fits to your school timetable.
